Day Three

Today we checked out of the Hilton and found a nice hotel called Le Pavillon. It is a 4.5 star hotel that we got for half the cost!! It was built in 1907. When we pulled up a valet took our car and a bell boy got our bags. Very fancy. Then they took our bags to the room calling us Mr. and Mrs. Litcher. HA! I am going to attach pictures of it. Once we got all checked in we toured the hotel. There is a pool on the roof! Ten stories up! Our room is on the top floor and has a pretty good view. We went swimming a few hours ago which was pretty awesome at night. They have those gas burning lanterns like in Charleston. I hope it isn't haunted. I'll let you know after tonight. But getting back to the day, we walked around and then we rode the ferry across the Mississippi River. Talk about a piece of crap. That ferry vibrated so much till the light bulbs were coming out of the lights. Crazy. I couldn't sit too long with that vibration because I couldn't see. Made my eyes shake. But it was pretty neat to see the city and see cars get on and off the boat. After that we went to the mall, they were closing. I don't know what it is about cities but everything seems to close around 5pm. I almost forgot, we did eat lunch on Bourbon street at Mr. Chubbies Cheesesteak. I had a chicken filly and John had a pizza cheesesteak. It was good. Then I left my bag there and a nice lady called my mom for me to come back and get it. It pays to be nice to people. We had talked to the lady before. We were killing flies together. They were trying to attack our food. After we looked through the mall we stopped at the Double Tree Hotel to get milk and cookies. (I know its random, but I saw a sign and had to have them.) Well, that's about it. For some reason though, HBO has been playing all these shows that take place in Louisiana. We watched the new episode of True Blood. Well, have a good night. I'll update tomorrow. We will be heading to Texas. Jamie and Jo here we come!!!
