Day Two

So, after we slept till 2pm due to the over night trip to find a room, we went exploring. I would say that New Orleans is looks like a little new york mixed with Charleston. Only difference would be it is extremely humid (you could cut the air with a knife) and their are trollies. Also on the main street which is called Canal Street there are palm trees like California. Today we walked around and found Bourbon Street which is well know for Mardigras. It had bars with frozen alcholic drinks that you could take on the street. Nude clubs with naked women. I also saw a drag queen in lingerie! Definitely not a place to take the kids. We ended up finding a good local restaurant called Oceania Grill. We wanted to taste some of the famous dishes that New Orleans is know for. For appitizer we had BBQ shrimp (yummy!) and for main course I had rice & beans and John had Ahi Tuna stuffed with crab which came with a side jumbalia. Key word for anything eatin in New Orleans= SPICEY! I've had heartburn ever since. For dessert we had creme brulee. The food was great but the dessert tasted like cold pumpkin pie. We called it a night and headed back to the room to go back to sleep. Oh and on the way we saw "Bubba Gump" Shrimp. That's about it.
