After a restful night sleep in Lubbuck TX, we went to the wind museum. Well we didn't actually go in but they had one of the huge windmills outside and some older ones. Check out the picture. HUGE!! The fans on this sucker are bigger than a 50 ft trailer!! Ok, so enough about the windmills. We got some gas and headed into the unknown. We saw a bunch of dirt devils (little tornados of dust) and a lot of farm land. About a billion cows which was great for me. But once we got out of the farm land, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Just fields and fields of nothing. It was pretty awesome. I was singing that song "look all around you theirs nothing but blue skkkkkyyyyy!! Look straight ahead, nothing but blue skkkkkyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" Totally true statement. Anyway, we were headed to Roswell NM. Sorry no picture of the welcome to New Mexico sign. It was missing. On the way to Roswell we stopped at a park called the bottomless lake. Pretty awesome. Oh, and we stopped at another park with sand dunes. If you have a dune buggy, you could ride on them. I saw the infamous roadrunner! In the book it says they can reach speeds of up to 20 miles per hour. That's probably why I couldn't get a picture of him. He was gone. In Roswell there are a lot of alien stores. Everyone knows about the Area 51 history. I took some pictures so you can check that out. There was also an alien themed McDonalds. No one could tell me the location of Area 51 so we headed to Albuquerque. On the way we saw mountains. We are actually staying here in the mountains and plan on taking the Sandia Peak Tram. Oh, for dinner we ate at this resturant called Elephant Bar which served everything. And I mean everything! We are heading to Vegas, talk to you then.
