Day Five

This morning we got up after a restful sleep at Jo's apartment. We stopped at Shipley Donuts for a late breakfast. I had a cinnamon twist and John had a kolache (had sausage and cheese inside it). Then we went on a VIP tour of NASA. We got to see where Jo worked and actually do the simulations. We both got to land a space craft and dock to the space station. It was pretty awesome. We also went to the gift shop and I got a shirt that says science is cool. I plan on wearing it on casual days at work. I also got a bumper sticker for my classroom that says "Falure is not an option" and an inflatable space ship. Pretty cool. After our visit we came back to the apartment to rest and then headed to Kemah TX. There they have a board walk that is right by the water. We saw flying fish just jumping out of the water. It was pretty awesome. They have a little amusement park right by the water too. We went from shop to shop just for the AC. It was very very hot. After our nice walk we then went and ate some dinner at Saltgrass Steak House. Of course we are in Texas so you have got to get a steak! It was very good but John had gotten too full on the prefood so he didn't get to finish his. I ate all of my steak, but didn't care much for the sides. We headed back to the apartment for a swim. I'm going to call it a night so that we can get ready for our trip to Austin and who knows from there. Hope everyone has a wonderful night. Miss you guys.
